How did you start skateboarding/longboarding?
My cousins God brother bought a longboard because he was going off to college and he wanted to be able to commute to classes so thinking he was cool me and my cousins got longboards to do the same thing and around that time I started watching videos of downhill and it instantly clicked for me.
What are other passions in your life? What motivates you?
Since my senior year in high school I’ve been in and out of relationships and most of the time it’s been with girls who are very smart for some reason that gives me motivation probably because I feel like I have to one up them haha.
What do you do for work? How do you balance work and play?
At the moment I’m a plumber my workdays start at five and end at 3 in the winter that’s only two hours of sunlight left but I make the most of it.
Where do you want to see longboarding in the future?
I want to see people find better places to host sanctioned free ride events so that we can create outlets for skaters to find their scene, learn, grow, and have a safe place to do it.
What is your favorite longboard event and why?
Central mass for sure started going Cenmass 6 and all the way to Cenmass 10, and it’s probably my favorite event because I set goals at the beginning and by Cenmass 10 I achieved basically all of them.
Tell us about that session or moment that made you want to really pursue longboarding as more than just a hobby?
Basically from the moment I started growing up watching Landyachtz videos I knew that there was no excuses in life so as long as I wanted to achieve a goal and I put everything I had into it I could gain respect and become a professional if I wanted to it was just my mentality as an eight-year-old.
What is your biggest achievement? In longboarding and/or life...
It would probably have to be winning MVP and 1st place tech slide at central mass.
Coffee, tea or energy drink? What wakes you up in the morning?
Recently I really started to like those nitro cold brews with the foam no cream no sugar!
What would be your superpower and why?
Probably being able to fly so every time I fall off my skateboard I can just float above the pavement.
Who is your hero?
Byron Essert
If you could live anywhere in the world where would you live? Why?
Probably in Asheville North Carolina because the weather is never too hot or too cold although not super consistent it’s definitely a nice place to skate and work.
What is your dream job? What’s stopping you?
I’d be a Voice over actor if I wasn’t dyslexic.
