Congratulations Brandon!
FB Rider Brandon Harrison took FIRST PLACE at the Washington D.C. Slide Jam on Saturday March 24th. He won the Hard Wheel Category while riding the Faceplant Boardriders KINGSPIN board with Litezpeed 6.5 Trucks and Abec 11 60mm 98a No Skoolz. CONGRATULATIONS Brandon! He has been progressing so fast, practicing everyday, and he is only going to continue to progress. Keep an eye on the site for some videos of him shredding soon. We will be doing a video session with him later this Spring on the Kingpin and the Cigarillo.

Northern DE/SE Pennsylvania Weekend
Ricky and Rob Wheeler of Faceplant Boardriders have been restocking shops and setting up FB longboards in new ones throughout the northern DE and SE PA region. They are speeding the FB stoke and shredding every chance they get with friends and FB Riders Jesse Wipf, and Steven Friday. Saturday they will be in the Philadelphia Area hitting up some new shops as well as restocking Community Bikes and Boards. Sunday am there will be a shred session at a "secret spot" with FB Rider Brian Fitch and some crew from the Bishop Board Shop then off to more shops throughout the day, and to cap it all off Monday they will be hitting up Blue Mountain to end the weekend right snowboarding before all of the snow melts. Hope there is still some left...

Liquid Snow Tour to Stowe, VT w/ FB
Many of the Faceplant Boardriders Crew and friends are hitting up Stowe, VT this weekend on the Liquid Snow Tour. It's going to be a weekend full of shredding some pow with the projected forecast showing a good amount of snow accumulation in northern Vermont over Friday and Saturday. Sweeeet. It's gonna be EPIC!

PA President's Day Slide Jam
Most of the Faceplant Boardriders crew is headed to Langhorne, PA tomorrow (Sunday Feb 19th) to have some fun shredding at the PA President's Day Slide Jam hosted by Kyle Mac. FB Shred Session and BBQ at Switch

Southern Maryland Slide Jam
FB will be at the Southern Maryland Slide Jam Saturday on Saturday November 5th. It is gonna be a fun event full of all kinds of different longboard events. Whatever they can fit into the day is what they will have going on. FB will also be in Newark, DE at Switch Skate Shop for a BBQ at 4 pm Friday November 4th. Swing by and check it out. We will be longboarding spots throughout Newark afterwards and you can demo some Faceplant Boardriders Longboards from Ricky and Rob's personal quivers.

FB in NYC/Broadway Bomb
The Faceplant Crew consisting of Ricky Wheeler, Rob Wheeler, Jesse Wipf, Brian Fitch, and Tim Quandt all packed it up and headed to NYC for the Broadway Bomb on Saturday October 8th. It was a huge event this year with well over 1000 longboarders from all over. The push started at noon and went straight down Broadway. The streets were flooded with longboarders! Everyone was stoked to be there. After the Bomb we made our way to Central Park to cruise around and slide a bit. Early Sunday was Uncle Funky's Style Session which was an awesome event revolving around sliding and style. The event had a chill vibe. It was a fun jam to compete in with so many great riders. Rob Wheeler pulled out first place with his fluid surf style on the FB Mini Stick! It was an amazing weekend that we sure won't miss next year.

Rob & Kim - South Island of New Zealand
Rob Wheeler and Kim Napolitano are back in Wellington after snowboarding all over the South Island of New Zealand. They hit up various resorts and also hiked and rode down a face right off the road. They also did some bungee jumping, jet boating, and hiking around to see the amazing countryside in New Zealand. Rob will be in Wellington, New Zealand hanging out and skating some gnarly hills on FB longboards for another 3 weeks while Kim will be there a bit longer before going to Australia for 2-3 months.

Rob Wheeler in New Zealand
Rob Wheeler is now in New Zealand for 6 weeks where he has met up with Kim Napolitano who has been there for a couple of months now. They are going to do some snowboarding at various locations while they are there and Rob will also be shredding all over New Zealand on his FB longboards (the Mini Stick and the Street Surfer) not to mention surfing whenever he can. We should see plenty of pictures and video when he returns...

PA Weekend Shred Session
The Faceplant Boardriders Crew is going to meet up around the Allentown, PA area this weekend (August 6-7) to shred some of the local areas there. Broad Street Bomb
The Faceplant Boardriders Crew loaded up in the van on Saturday, May 7th and made their way to Philly for the "Broad Street Bomb". It was basically a push race on longboards throughout Philadelphia. There was a great turnout, and the event was more so about being there, having fun, and getting out and longboarding. Rob, Jesse, Reginal, Steven, Mikey, and Tino all had a blast kickin and pumpin through the streets of Philly with over 100 other longboarders. It was a fun event!

Olney SkatePark Grand ReOpening (April 23)
Faceplant Boardriders will be attending the the re-opening of Olney Manor Skate Park in MD at Montgomery Parks Facility. There will be free skating, fun and games, giveaways and refreshments! The event is from 11am until 1pm. We will have a table setup at the event and will be giving away a few prizes to the winners of the contests they will be holding at the park. Olney Manor Skate Park is a 14,400 square foot skatepark. The 90-foot by 160-foot park features a 10-foot-deep bowl (which is pretty sweet), Hubba ledge, steps with a handrail, quarter pipes, Fun Box with flat rail, manual pad, and Pyramid Ledge. Skaters age 8 and younger must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Bring your helmets and come have some fun shreddin the park with us. The Cape Jam (April 2nd)
Faceplant Boardriders wanted to thank everyone for coming out to our longboard jam and demo day on Saturday April 2nd. It was a great trial run for the longboarding event we are trying to put on in October at Cape Henlopen with Liquid Surf Shop. We had a great turnout and an awesome day of skatin all over the State Park. FB also would like to thank Liquid for being a big part of this event and also for carrying our boards in their shop. 2011 Here We Come
We have restocked with materials and are getting into our next big push of longboards. 2011 is gonna be an awesome year! We started it out right in Puerto Rico at the Guajataka Downhill and have been feverishly working on boards, video, R&D, and skatin everyday possible. FB in the Guajataka Downhill, Puerto Rico
We had an awesome time at the Guajataka Downhill in Puerto Rico. They really went all out for the GD2011 with lots of great music, events, and riders from all over! The people make it even better. Everyone is there to have a good time and it shows. Faceplant Boardriders ended up bringing some hardware back home to Delaware since Ricky Wheeler took the Bronze in the sliding competition. His board of choice for the contest was the FB Double Blunt. Everyone threw down in all the contests, and had a stellar time in PR. Robby Wheeler and Jesse Wipf displayed their gloveless slidin surf style to the crowd on the FB Oreginal Shorty and the FB Mini Stick. We were also stoked that we made the local newspaper in PR (El Nuevo Dia) with a few pictures of our slides. There were a lot of sick riders in every event. Everyone was steppin' it up which made it fun to be a part of and also just sit back and watch. A big thanks to everyone responsible to organizing and putting on the Guajataka Downhill in Quebradillas, Puerto Rico. Shreddin' it up in Puerto Rico
Robby, Ricky, Jesse, and Kim have been in Puerto Rico for three days so far, and it has been awesome. Perfect weather, beach, fun waves, smoothly paved hills, and a fun concrete skatepark littered with bowls and a pool have made their short time here awesome so far. Such a fun place to be. We have been riding a wide array of boards while we have been here, and have as large of a quiver as we could fit on our baggage for the big event this coming weekend. The decks we brought along are the Carbon Fiber DH Fishy Blunt, Platypus, Double Blunt, Mini Stick, Carbon Fiber Oreginal Shorty, Rad Banana, and the Fishy Blunt. We are stoked for a good time, and are sure the Guajataca Downhill Races, slide competition, and slalom will not disappoint as the whole weekend event last year was a blast!

Tickets on the Snow?
Ok, so our latest 'happening' is the issue of a speeding ticket while snowboarding. Apparently it is possible to get a "speeding ticket" from Ski Patrol while cruisin the slopes on your snowboard... Matt Hinton proved that to us on his last trip to the the hill. He got a nice, official peice of paper to frame that he was given by an irate ski patroller that told him we was snowboarding too fast. How fast is too fast? I guess you have to get out and find out for yourself. Go shred...but not out of control!

Puerto Rico - Downhill Longboard Races and Competitions
Robby, Ricky, Jesse, and Kim are off to Puerto Rico for some skatin, surfin, and lots of fun on January 16th! Hopefully we will get into some tasty waves while we are there. Robby, Ricky, and Jesse will be competing in the International Downhill Longboard Race, slide competition, and slalom which takes place in Quebradillas, Puerto Rico. Its an awesome event based around longboarding. Really chill vibe all around, and so much fun.
